DAN Partners in Dive Safety

Scuba St. Lucia is one of only a few DAN Partners in Dive Safety facilities in the world.  The DAN Partners in Dive Safety program recognizes dive resorts for their adherence to established safety practices and their emergency preparedness.  That means that all our dive staff is trained as both DAN oxygen providers and Emergency First Response (EFR) PADI Medic First Aid. In addition, all our boats carry a full set of DAN oxygen equipment. We offer DAN Oxygen provider and DAN Oxygen Instructor courses.

PADI NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Gold Palm Resort Facility

Scuba St. Lucia is a PADI NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Gold Palm Resort as well as a Universal Referral Center. Scuba St. Lucia has a tradition of offering qualified and exceptionally friendly service. We offer training from Discover Scuba Diving to Divemaster. As the Windward Islands and St. Lucia's largest dive facility, we have an international staff with more than 45,000 dives and 125 years of diving experience. One PADI Course Director calls us: "The best training site in the world". Our dive staff at Scuba St. Lucia are truly gifted individuals. Our facility requires each diver complete an orientation dive and skill review on our house reef and all our dives are lead by experienced Divemasters and Instructors.

Boats, Workshop and Compressors

Boats
We currently operate three dive boats, Miss Ina, Miss Bertha and Jenny-Marie.  Miss Ina  is powered by twin Evinrude 250hp E-tec outboard engines and Miss Bertha is also powered by twin Evinrude 250hp E-tec outboard engines, these engines meet US and EU 2006 emission standards. Jenny-Marie is powered by twin 435hp Detroit Diesel inboards. Our boats are all equipped with fresh drinking water, full safety equipment including 2 way radios and cellular phones, first aid kits, flares, fire extinguishers, dive flags and a DAN Oxygen unit.

Workshop
All our scuba equipment is serviced and maintained by trained technicians.  This same service is available to all our clients who would need assistance with their own equipment.

Compressors
Our filling station is a BAUER SECURUS AIR SYSTEM and recently we’ve added a NUVAIR NITROX MEMBRANE SYSTEM to our operation. This is the first and only filtration system of its kind in St. Lucia providing our clients the purest air quality available in the industry. We currently have two BAUER K14  and a BAUER K15 compressor supplying close to 40 cfpm.

Scuba Tanks
We have over 300 Aluminum scuba tanks in both 63 cu.ft. and 80 cu.ft. All our tanks are tested and serviced on a regular basis and according to PADI standards to ensure top quality and safety to all our clients.

Equipment Rental
The rental facility is fully equipped with the latest scuba gear. We rent Scuba Pro regulators with Octopus, low pressure Inflator, depth and pressure gauge and our BCD's are from Seaquest/Aqualung and 3mm shorty wetsuits. 

All our rental gear is serviced on a regular basis to ensure top quality and safety.  Our facility is equipped with four large fresh water rinse tanks with disinfectant inside and all our gear is washed after each use.

Photo and Video
Scuba St. Lucia offers their clients an underwater Photo and Video center with camera rentals and custom videos. Digital underwater cameras are also available for rental. The staff can assist you with your camera and video needs as well as offer a range of courses like Underwater Videographer and Digital Underwater Photographer.

The photo staff will join various dives taking both video and slide film. These videos and slides can be viewed upon your return to the dive center and may be purchased as the perfect souvenir to show your friends back home.
